- I've had a SupraExpress 288IPnP for just under 3 months. When first
- installing it on a 386-40Mhz I had problems relative to the
- "Where's the modem?" (WTM) program not reconizing the IRQ of the com port.
- After a lot of fiddling I somehow got it to work.
-
- Now I just got a Cyrix5x86 motherboard and I have the same problem.
- I have com1 & com2 on the motherboard and no other I/O boards so I'm
- sure there is no com port overlap. I set com3 to interrupt 5 (also tried
- other interupts). When I run WTM and select com3, the interrupt stays at
- interrupt 3. When booting I get the following error from the driver,
- dwcfgmg.sys:
-
- Error: Failed NVS write, Error=82h.
-
- Then when I run the communication program it says no modem found.
-
- I've also tried this on a second computer 86DX2-66Mhz with the same
- results.
-
- My brother has the same modem with no problems. Is this a hardware
- problem with the Modem or do you have any Ideas? Does the NVS error
- refer to a "Non volatile storage problem with the EPROM".
-
- I'm at the point of returning it to Supra as broken.
-
- Thanks
